Montecaprili is situated in a hilly position approximately 470 metres above sea level, which means the property enjoys beautful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside which is covered with the typical Tuscan flowers and vegetation such as, olive trees, cypresses, yellow broom, holm oaks and old oaktrees, and stunning vineyards some of which produce the Brunello wine. In the distance it is possible to see ancient castles, Medieval fortresses and fortifications, a testament to the many historical events which occurred in this region. From the front of the house, in the distance is a wonderful view of Monte Amiata which is an extinct volcano millions of years old.
The house itself measures approximately 900 sq mts and is divided into five apartments which are all completely restored. The apartments are as follows:
Il Pozzo is a charming apartment which is situated on the ground floor. The living area consists of: a good sized living room with a fireplace and a kitchen area. There are two good sized double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
Le Ginestre is delightfully bright and sunny apartment on the ground floor which has lovely views over the valley, and which is situated close to the swimming pool. It has a beautiful good sized living room with a well equipped kitchen area which includes a dishwasher. La Loggia is a superb spacious apartment with 3 double bedrooms which is situated on the first floor. There are spectacular panoramic views from every window of this well furnished apartment in which 6 people could comfortably enjoy their stay with plenty of room to relax. The beauty of this apartment is the fact that every double bedroom has it’s own private bathroom. There is also a spacious living room/dining room with a fireplace and a separate kitchen.
In addition to the main house there is an annex which measures approximately 103 sq mts. The living area consists of: a lounge with a fireplace and a corner kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom.
Also included with the property is a beautiful swimming pool, which measures 15m x 7m, which is situated in the centre of a good sized garden which is planted with beautiful coloured oleanders, fragrant lavendars and rosemary, surrounded by centures old oak trees and equipped with umbrellas and a gazebo. The external façade of the house is made of stone and internally the floors are paved with terracotta, the ceilings have traditional exposed wooden beams with terracotta tiles inbetween which is the traditional style for Tuscan country houses.
